Michael Gasparro

While more associated now with his work as a Catholic therapist than as a musician, Michael’s first love was singing and making music. He has been singing since before he could talk, playing piano at age 7 and began writing original music in high school. He went on to obtain a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Baylor University in 2009 and began working in music ministry, music performance and music instruction for years after that before making a shift to study pscyhology full time in 2016.

It is out of this shared love of human flourishing along with a love for music that “The Gift of Me: Theology of the Body Songs for Kids” was born

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #131154 and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor #10913 in California, he helps treat a wide variety of mental health issues with compassion and a Christ-centered worldview. He is passionate about the intersection of faith and psychology.

He now serves regularly as a speaker/presenter, both in the United States and abroad, to therapy professionals, religious leaders, and various Catholic audiences, regarding his personal experience and clinical expertise on matters related to human sexuality, psychology and the teachings of Catholic church related to these topics as applied to Christian ministry, human development, and psychotherapy.

As such, he is a regular guest on various Catholic media outlets such as “The Drew Mariani Show” and “Trending with Timmerie” on Relevant Radio and “Life on the Rock” on Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). He has also appeared on other various Catholic radio programs and podcasts, such as numerous appearances on the Jen Fulwiler Show on the Catholic Channel on Sirius/XM and The Dr. J Show from the Ruth Institute, among others.

Michael graduated with an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in 2017.
