FAQ
frequently asked questions
What is the cost of therapy and do you offer sliding-scale therapy rates?
The current rate for therapy for both individuals and couples is $195 per session.
A very limited number of sliding scale session prices are available at times, upon request from the client based on financial need, and are dependent upon both the availability on the therapist’s case load for a sliding scale client and therapist’s determination of appropriateness of sliding scale in any given situation.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not take insurance at all or work with insurance companies or health share plans directly in any way. We are able to provide you with a medical super-bill, through which your insurance company may provide you some form of reimbursement if you submit it to them on your own. Super-bills are medical receipts for sessions, which list specific required diagnostic information and the amount that you have paid for therapy sessions in order for you to submit a claim to your health care provider. If you would like to receive super-bills in order to seek potential reimbursement from your health care provider, please let us know at the outset of therapy.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Currently, on occasion we are available for scheduling an in-person session in West Los Angeles for intake sessions or on very rare occasions during the course of treatment. The primary mode of therapy offered for all clients is therapy via tele-health.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 45 minutes long and it is usually encouraged to start sessions with regularity (weekly) if possible, but a specific treatment plan can be discussed once you begin sessions. Bi-weekly therapy sessions are a minimum expectation at the start of treatment but you can quit or pause treatment at any time.
